About Val
Growing up in Brooklyn in the 70's, Val would hide out in the back of coffee shops and write poetry for hours on end.
Pen and page were an escape from the stressful demands of being a competiive figure skater on an Olympic path. It wasn't until decades after a fellow ice skater showed her a few basic guitar chords that she began her songwriting journey.
Today, Val plays with her band and fellow musicians from New York to Nashville and her recordings have been heard world wide. Her second studio album 'FANCY TOWN' is slated to be released digitally in the fall.
As an entertainer and lifetime lover of theatrical attire, Val's 'ORPHAN COUTURE' collection of curated vintage and up-cycled clothing and accessories can be found at her studio shop on Long Island.
